November 2009

Elder Nielson of the 70 camr to do a tour of the mission and after he had seen all of the missionaries he met all the zone leaders. During the meeting with the zone leaders he taught them how to be leaders and how to help others and themselves. He got another new companion Elder Wairpo. The Elders had a basketball tournament after transfers. His team won and he almost dunked the ball. He ran two red lights that were red for a few feet and luckliy no one was coming from the other way. Some of the missionaries in the zone are lazy and so Bryce and his companion are trying to get them to get working. He was not able to celebrate Thanksgiving because they don't do that in Australia. They don't eat turkey over there. They ran out of the book of mormon in his mission. They have not received thier shipment yet. Bryce is frustrated becuase he wishes the members of the ward would work on fellowshipping the investigators. The Bishop told him they are already doing a great job and there is nothing more to do. He has decided to just work on a better relationship with the members.

October 2009

The young man that was getting fellowshipped by the young men is very interested and really liking the activities. He has learned a lot from President Richards and is really starting to understand himself. He is looking into his weaknesses and wants to work on them. He told us that Brisbane has not been affected by the tsunamis and hurricanes. Most of his investigators are younger than 18 so they have to have a parents permission before they can baptize them and most of the parents want to learn about hte church or do not agree with the church. Members are going to name thier son after Bryce well they are going to name him Harmon. One of his investigators Adam 55 years old talked to his family and they told him not to get baptized. So he is having second thoughts and changing his mind. Adam and Ivy got married. The times got mixed up and Bryce missed they wedding. It looks like Adam is still going down the path to get baptized so we will see.

September 2009

He found a girl named Mafanta and her family gave them permission to teach her. Things are going good and her mom invited them over for dinner. Then they met 2 other teenage boys that the young men are fellowshipping. He had two other companions and he was the only one that did not get transferred. He got a new companion Elder Tokaduadua he is very excited to serve with him. This companion reminds him of Tez. His companions used to make fun of him and call him fob (fresh off the boat) islanders that don't speak very good english. He is very excited for the coming weeks!
