November 2009
Elder Nielson of the 70 camr to do a tour of the mission and after he had seen all of the missionaries he met all the zone leaders. During the meeting with the zone leaders he taught them how to be leaders and how to help others and themselves. He got another new companion Elder Wairpo. The Elders had a basketball tournament after transfers. His team won and he almost dunked the ball. He ran two red lights that were red for a few feet and luckliy no one was coming from the other way. Some of the missionaries in the zone are lazy and so Bryce and his companion are trying to get them to get working. He was not able to celebrate Thanksgiving because they don't do that in Australia. They don't eat turkey over there. They ran out of the book of mormon in his mission. They have not received thier shipment yet. Bryce is frustrated becuase he wishes the members of the ward would work on fellowshipping the investigators. The Bishop told him they are already doing a great job and there is nothing more to do. He has decided to just work on a better relationship with the members.
October 2009
The young man that was getting fellowshipped by the young men is very interested and really liking the activities. He has learned a lot from President Richards and is really starting to understand himself. He is looking into his weaknesses and wants to work on them. He told us that Brisbane has not been affected by the tsunamis and hurricanes. Most of his investigators are younger than 18 so they have to have a parents permission before they can baptize them and most of the parents want to learn about hte church or do not agree with the church. Members are going to name thier son after Bryce well they are going to name him Harmon. One of his investigators Adam 55 years old talked to his family and they told him not to get baptized. So he is having second thoughts and changing his mind. Adam and Ivy got married. The times got mixed up and Bryce missed they wedding. It looks like Adam is still going down the path to get baptized so we will see.
September 2009
He found a girl named Mafanta and her family gave them permission to teach her. Things are going good and her mom invited them over for dinner. Then they met 2 other teenage boys that the young men are fellowshipping. He had two other companions and he was the only one that did not get transferred. He got a new companion Elder Tokaduadua he is very excited to serve with him. This companion reminds him of Tez. His companions used to make fun of him and call him fob (fresh off the boat) islanders that don't speak very good english. He is very excited for the coming weeks!

Transfers (Aug 2009)
Okay so I am slacking and trying to put this together before he gets back. He got transfered back to Kenmore with the same companion. Yep they both go transfered to the same place. He is excited to be with the same companion. He is having a hard time finding people to teach becuase there are so many couples that have kids that are not married. The government pays them $5,000 to have a kid so if a couple needs money they will have a baby. He started teaching a couple Adam and Ivy that he is hoping will get married and get baptized. The couple is very interested in the church.
This is how Mindi announced that Bryce was going to be an uncle.
There is a member that served a mission that loves to have Elder Harmon and his companion over for meals. He is always asking to go out and teach with them. Bryce is hoping that when he gets home he will do this and always want to continue to teach others and share the gospel. Him and his companion where helping a member move and as they were carrying a bookcase out he tripped on the driveway. Nothing happened to him or the bookcase thankgoodness. Then that same day there was a drunk guy that was arguing with him and trying to get in a fight with him. His companion describe Bryce in a few words "Elder Harmon is like a magnet for funny things happening to him." This does decribe him perfect. Adam and Ivy got there marriage papers and will get married at the end of october.

THE FRONT PAGE
Well it has been awhile so I will try and do as much catchup as I can. As for Paul the bishop got back from vacation and they set a date for august 22nd for Paul's baptism. Paul is very anxious since it is a while away. Then the ward had a baptism and they were told that it was at 9:30. When they showed up early everyone was looking at them and they realized that it started at 9:00 and no one told them. Bryce said that the ward was upset and they did not understand that no one told them so the ward thinks it is their falt. Bryce learned a lot from this experience he talked about how he needs to take action and not wait for someone else to make the move. He is going to try and act and not wait for someone else to make the move. He sent home a newspaper and on the front page was a picture of him and another missionary playing football. It was after a storm and the street is full of water. He said it was fun and now he is famous there.

LOOK WHERE YOU ARE GOING!
They were teaching an investigator one day and it went so good they were able to set up a baptisimal date. When they were leaving Bryce backed into her car. There was no damage to either car. Everyone still gives him a hard time about it. They have set a bapstisimal date for Paul he just needs to get married first. They are wating for the bishop to get back from vacation to marry Paul so they can set a date for his baptism. Bryce stayed in Camira through another transfer. He really likes his companion he is hard working and very obedient.
ONE YEAR MARK
This is a catch up post. He was transferred to Camira where the area is 90% Samoan, has 1 Tongan family, and 1 White family (he is not excited about this due to his weight, every other aspect he is excited). He lives in a four man flat for the first time, he is excited about that.
Well this is his one year mark and he still feels like he has lots of improving to do. He has gotten the word out and got a lot of people ready to be baptized just has not been there for the actual baptism. He is a great missionary (though we are very partial)! He has been thinking a lot about what he wants to do when he comes home and he is interested in being a fireman.
They have started teaching a man named Paul he is excited for this investigator though he says he is far away from progressing.
